NEWS AND NOTES
The women's game scheduled for January 21 against Whitman-Hanson has been postponed. The make-up date is still to be determined and will be posted when known.
The SHS varsity men were defeated 12-2 in their most recent action by the Canton Bulldogs at the Canton Ice House on Saturday, January 19th. Luke Bainton led the way offensively for the Black Knights with a pair of third period goals, while Thomas McCoy turned aside 23 shots in goal. The men will return home to Asiaf Arena for their next game, a divisional clash with North Attleboro at the Asiaf Arena on Wednesday, January 23. Faceoff time is set for 7:00 PM.
The women were defeated 6-1 in their most recent game by Wayland/Weston at the Asiaf Arena on Saturday, January 19th. They will return to action on Wednesday, January 30 against King Philip at the Foxboro Sports Center. Faceoff time is set for 4:40 PM.
The men's game scheduled for Monday, January 21st at Cardinal Spellman has been rescheduled to Monday, January 28th at 4:40 PM at the Zapustas Arena in Randolph.
The men's game against Attleboro, originally scheduled for Wednesday, February 13th, has been moved to Saturday, February 9th with a 4:30 PM start due to a scheduling conflict with the SHS science fair.
The SHS alumni game has been set for Saturday, January 26th at the Asiaf Arena to help celebrate 50 years of Stoughton hockey. Puck drop is at 4:10 PM. There will be an alumni dinner following the game at the Last Shot in Stoughton (539 Washington Street). The class of 1968 will be honored at the varsity game against Taunton following the game.
