NEWS AND NOTES

The Stoughton-Brockton men were defeated 4-1 in their 2020-21 season finale on Monday, February 15th at the New England Sports Village in Attleboro. Colin Alessi scored the lone goal for the Knight Boxers, set up by Charlie Caputo. Chris Andrade and Ryan Spano split time in goal. Stoughton-Brockton finished the season with a 2-7-1 mark. Farewell and congratulations to the seniors on the squad this year, Ryan Flannery, Cade O'Connell, Kyle Cruickshank, Jack Mahoney, Jaden Rec, Mike Andrade, Ryan Spano, Kenny Young, and John Patterson.

 

The varsity women's team played two make up games from earlier postponements. On Saturday, February 13, the women were defeated 5-2 by the Franklin Panthers at Staff Sgt. Parilli Veterans Arena. And then, on Monday, February 15, the women lost a high scoring 9-6 affair to King Philip at the Foxboro Sports Center. Morgan Lessa and Haley Nelson each scored a hat trick in the defeat. Morgan Johnston added an assist. Congratulations to the 4 senior captains, Samantha Sherman, Haley Nelson, Jill Parker, and Morgan Lessa.  Stay tuned for further developments for the replaying of previously postponed games should they occur.
